When you're looking to buy a used car, you may come across used cars and certified used/preowned cars. So what's the difference?
Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) programs are offered by car manufacturers and provide you with additional benefits and security when purchasing a used car. A CPO vehicle is one that has undergone an even more detailed inspection and safety process than what we typically conduct for ALL used cars at OpenRoad. These manufacturer CPO programs typically include benefits such as:
Extended warranties: Extended warranties: most manufacturers extend their new car limited warranty coverage as well as additional year(s) extra on the powertrain warranty
Special financing rates: Special financing rates: often a CPO purchase will have reduced finance or lease rates that are lower than available bank financing rates, saving you money on interest
Roadside assistance: Roadside assistance: most brands include complimentary 24/7 emergency roadside assistance for a limited time
Different return/exchange policies: Different return/exchange policies: with many CPO programs, you have extended periods of time to return or exchange the vehicle, compared to OpenRoad's Certified used program (which applied to ALL used cars)
